Metroid is a video game franchise by Nintendo which primarily consists of action-adventure video games. The franchise follows the exploits of bounty hunter Samus Aran as she travels across the galaxy to hunt the creatures known as Metroids and thwart the plans of evil organizations such as the Space Pirates and their leaders, Ridley and Mother Brain.
