Metroidpedia is a wiki that covers the complete Metroid franchise by Nintendo. It was founded by both DarkMatterMan4500 and Bawitdaba (named RMV2003 at the time) on March 21, 2022, the latter of whom wanted to do a wiki on Metroid since at least 2018 or 2019.
The name "Metroidpedia" was chosen to not only differentiate from NIWA's Metroid Wiki but also as a reference to Fandom's defunct wiki, Zeldapedia.
